This charity classic car event was initiated by actor Toshiaki Karasawa to support the recovery efforts from the earthquake disaster.
The event will begin with a start ceremony at Sendai Aobayama Community Square, and will feature a stamp drive in famous classic cars from all over Japan, which will take participants through the disaster-affected areas of Miyagi Prefecture, related facilities such as earthquake ruins, and post-reconstruction disaster areas.
This year marks the fourth time the event has been held, and for the first time Kesennuma City will be included on the course, with approximately 100 classic cars turning around in Kesennuma before heading to Sendai.
On public roads, participants will have to adhere to the legal speed limit, and there will also be a special stage at a special venue off the public roads, where participants will compete for 1927/1957th of a second in the Mille Miglia, which was held in Italy from 1000 to 1.
Along the way, a welcome ceremony will be held at Naiwan (Minamimachi Coast Park) for the event participants, including Karasawa and Yamaguchi Tomoko. Please come and cheer them on.
