If the event is cancelled

  • In case of stormy weather or wind speeds of 15 meters or more
  • When wave height is 1.5m or more and visibility is 500m or less
  • If there is a risk of a sudden change in weather
  • When a tsunami warning or advisory is issued
  • Other reasons that the captain decides to cancel
  • If we can determine in advance that the event will be cancelled, we will contact you by 16pm the day before.

Precautions regarding application

Q: Is it necessary to enter an email address in the application form?
A: Please make sure to enter this information so that we can send you an email to notify you that your application has been completed. Notification of your winning will be sent to the email address you entered in the form.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of applications?
A: Limited to one per group.
Q: Can elementary and junior high school students apply alone?
A: Children up to junior high school age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. We ask that a representative who is a high school student or above submit their application.
Q: I have already submitted my application, but can I change the number of people?
A: If you wish to change the number of people or make other changes to your application, please fill in the application form again. In that case, your original application will not be eligible for the change.
Q: Is there anything I need to do after I win?
A: The secretariat will send a notification of the selection and a reservation form to the winners. Please use the reservation form to complete your application.
Q: Can I cancel after winning?
A: Yes. However, if you cancel due to personal reasons, a cancellation fee will be charged from 3 days before the event. The cancellation policy is as follows:PDFIf the event is cancelled due to bad weather or other reasons, the participation fee will be refunded.
Q: If there are cancellations, will there be a second lottery?
A: If any spaces become available, we will hold a re-lottery on Tuesday, September 9th and Wednesday, September 17th. The results of the re-lottery are scheduled to be announced at 18:2 PM on Friday, September 9th.
