Located next to the fish market, this tourist product facility is lined with seafood from Sanriku. In addition to restaurants and shops, there is an ice aquarium and a shark museum, so the whole family can enjoy themselves. The surrounding area is home to the commercial facilities "Mukaeru," "Yuwaeru," and "Hirakeru," making it a great place to enjoy walking around town and shopping. Located at the entrance to Oshima, you can enjoy shopping for seasonal local products and souvenirs. There are also cafes and restaurants, so we recommend spending some time relaxing while looking out at the harbor. Tanakahama and Kameyama are also great locations for filming "Okaeri Mone"!

Kesennuma City Great East Japan Earthquake Memorial Museum

The Great East Japan Earthquake was a major theme of "Okaeri Mone." We who live in this town cannot forget the sadness of losing so many important people and things in an instant. That is why, in order to convey the memories and lessons of that time to as many people as possible, we have added the Earthquake Memorial Hall to the building that was used as the school building of Kesennuma Koyo High School in Miyagi Prefecture until the day of the earthquake. Please come and see it for yourself.

Otani Coast Roadside Station/Tourist Information Corner

The southern gateway to Kesennuma, with the beautiful sea of Otani Coast stretching out before you. The theme is "All Kesennuma," and there are many ingredients and local products from Kesennuma on display, as well as products that convey the charm of Kesennuma. The area is also known as the setting for the movie "Suzume no Tojimari." If the weather is nice, why not enjoy a snack on the outdoor deck while gazing at the sea?
*Prize exchange is only available during the information corner's business hours of 9:00-17:00.
There will be no staff present between 12:00 and 13:00. During that time, the cashier at the roadside station will be available to assist you, but please note that there will be a mix of staff on weekends and holidays.

Hanzo Rest House

Located in Ogamahanzo, a scenic spot in Karakuwa, is Ogamahanzo Ippukudokoro, overlooking the distant sea. In addition to a line-up of locally produced and locally consumed dishes such as "Boiled conger eel rice" made with conger eels delivered directly from local fishermen and sweets made with mulberry fruit, the cafe also offers handmade cakes and homemade drinks. From the terrace seats you can enjoy a magnificent view, allowing you to spend a relaxing time surrounded by nature.

Photo spots that can be enjoyed only during the stamp rally have been set up at three facilities within the rally spot!

How to play the Quiz Stamp Rally
1. Answer the "Okamone Quiz" or "Kesennuma Quiz" located at each spot.
2. Once you know the answer to the quiz, search for "things related to the answer" within the facility and find the QR code.
3. Select the name of the facility in the app, tap "Read QR code" and launch the camera.
4. If it can be read, you can get a stamp! If the conditions are met, a redemption coupon will be automatically issued.
How to receive your rewards
① If you collect stamps from 6 out of 3 locations, you will be an "OkaMone" & "Kesennuma" expert! You can exchange it for one original sticker. (First 1 people)
Once you have exchanged your coupon at any tourist office, staff will hand you the reward.
②Those who win 6 out of 4 prizes will be chosen at random to receive a "Shark Plush Toy" (3 winners) or an "Oyster Cushion" (3 winners), which will be shipped to you at a later date.
After issuing the coupon, please fill in the required information in the application form and select the product you want.
If the required information is not provided, your application will be invalid.
・The announcement of the winners will be replaced by the shipping of the prizes. (Scheduled to be shipped in mid-March)

A: Do you have enough free space on your smartphone?

A: Have you set "Turn on location information while using the app"?
The stamp rally uses GPS functionality, so if the setting is turned off, it may not start properly.
Q: The app freezes when I open it.
A: Depending on the model you are using, the app may occasionally freeze.
