Let's talk about "Welcome Back Mone" together! 18th

Letters Corner 2021/09/13

On Mondays, we'll be talking about "Welcome Back Mone" together! We'll be talking about what was on show last week. To sum up last week's show in one sentence, "Riko-chan grows in one way or another, and ends up making a nice catch." But that's a bit too brief, so let's get straight into the letters! This is Sayumi in charge of this corner.

Letters introduced in this section may also be introduced on Kesennuma's community FM station, "Radio Kesennuma." Letters sent to the radio may also be introduced here.
There are also apps that allow you to listen to radio stations from all over the country, so please see the last explanation for more details.

This issue's letter

I think Uchida's "Pollen Allergy Prevention App" also makes use of data collected during field work while Monet was at the forestry association. It's a well-made app that everyone is paying attention to, so I think it will become a very successful business. Nosaka's "Tree planting to protect communities from river flooding" didn't work out so far, but I hope that his next presentation with Monet on "Disaster Prevention and Community Contribution" will be a success. (Umakkoyama)

Uchida-kun's presentation was promising. I also think that if Nosaka-san and Monet worked together on a plan, it would be a success.
Nosaka-san also said, "I hope I can do it someday. I can contribute to my hometown as a weather forecaster," so I think this might be a hint for later.

Mi-chan, Samejima-san, and Kanno-san each express their frustration to Mone. Whereas an average person would be annoyed, Mone just ignores it, and Su-chan, Natsu-san, and Takamura-san support her. The only person Mone can express her true feelings to and cleanse her heart is Suganami-sensei. I think this is a story of "purification." Lately, the way Mone speaks and talks has become just like her teacher.
The location scene at Kachidoki Bridge is a metaphor for Kesennuma Oshima Bridge. The setting will soon return to Kesennuma, and what I'm looking forward to in the future is: ・Yuuto's achievements (he seems like he'll get along well with the teacher and Mamo-chan); ・New hope for the Oikawa family and Mi-chan; ・The mystery of her mother's family home (it's strange that it hasn't come up in the story at all up to this point. Maybe they cut off all ties when she married Koji?); ・Will Monet ever pick up an instrument again? I'm praying that it will be a wonderful story until the very end. (Mikage)

Thank you, Mikage! Ah, as you say, I get the impression that Monet ignores the frustrations of many people. I also agree that the only person Monet can express her true feelings to is Suganami Sensei. And I agree that Monet and Suganami Sensei's ways of speaking are becoming similar!

And the "bridge" reminds me of the bridge in Kesennuma!

▲ Kesennuma Oshima Bridge

The fact that the images always feature things related to water, such as rivers and oceans, gives a sense of the overall theme of the story, which is "circulation."
And in the second half of the letter, you predicted what you thought were the highlights of the future. I too am curious to see how things will develop after you "return" to Kesennuma... I think the theme of "music" will likely be in the second half!

This week, Riko-chan was featured. Riko's line, "I've lived a happy life, so I have nothing," was echoed by Wakakoji's self-deprecating line, "You think that music that's just bright is boring, don't you?" Natsu-san's words touched my heart. What I'm wondering now is whether the day will come when Udagawa-san shows up. In my mind, Tsukamoto-kun is already cleaning the bath (lol).
And Suga Mone... well, she's too shy. The Den-den inside me is raging, saying, "What? Is that all?" And yet, he proposes in the preview for next week?! I'm looking forward to next week, afraid of how far he'll go! (Saiun)

Ahahahaha. Saiun's letter is great!
Certainly, Cozy also said, "Sound that is only bright is boring." Comedians often say that they are envious of people who have struggled because their stories are more interesting, but that's where the hungry spirit comes from. I'm sure musicians and creators are the same.
Also, there is a theory that Saiun is Udagawa = Tsumabuki Satoshi (they are a lovely couple in real life too!).

May I say something? I thought that I would like to see Iio-san from Zun as Udagawa-san. But when I thought about it, Maiko-san and I are completely different ages, so it's no good.
Also, my inner Denden said the same thing. He proposed to me right after I said, "Oh my, that's all!" King Crimson! (This is a joke from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.)

Things were getting so heated up until last week that I couldn't keep up with how quickly things developed this week, and I'm stunned. I have such high expectations for what happens next with Monet and Suganami-sensei that I don't know what to do with my emotions... What happened to Ryo-chin and his father? What happened to Michi? The episode involving Riko was good, but I wish they'd kept the tension from last week a little longer. I think Monet's theme is "being close to people's hearts," so I hope to see more carefully crafted scenes like that in the future! (Pyon)

That's right. There was a turbulent development last week! And today (9/13), it's 2019 in the drama!
But I believe that, considering what has happened so far, they will surely be able to depict what Ryo-chin, Mi-chan and the rest of the Kesennuma team have been up to now... If, however, there is something that feels lacking in that regard, then let's fill it in with my imagination and yours!

First of all, the "time warp" (is that what it's called?) part about the relationship between Monet and Suganami-sensei should be well-established, so we can just fill it in with our own imaginations about "this and that happened"... (sweats) So, this week is mainly about Riko. I thought that what she said before, "In the end, it's all for my own sake, isn't it?", would eventually become a hint... The "strategist: Asaoka-san" puts a test on Riko, who is in a slump, and when Riko is pushed even further and raises her voice, the "senior in life: Takamura Desk" looks her straight in the eye and quietly argues, and when Riko comes up with the idea that "people who get hurt are strong," the "landlord of Shiomiyu" Natsu-san lovingly disagrees. Riko, who derived the answer from various experiences, really looked like an enlightened "Kannon Bodhisattva." As you would expect from her surname, "Kamino". (sweats)
And then, there it was again, the second critical hit!! Last time, the teacher pulled Monet in for a hug (plus one more minute), but this time, Monet went for the teacher with a quick diving hug (right leg raised) as if to wipe away all the frustration she had felt up until then. As a celebratory shot, this time they fired off a "Heart's Two-Shaku Ball Weeping Willow ver." With the hope that just like the weeping willow that stays open for a long time, this relationship will also continue for a long time... (Prayer) (Totokichi)

Then, Totokichi-san suggested, "If there's no broadcast, why not just imagine it?" Okay, let's go with that! I'll go with it! I'll allocate a budget for it.

So, "Kannon Bodhisattva is only in Kamino"!! This week's "I noticed something" award (first time it's been mentioned)! That's true. I had only noticed that many of the characters' names had something to do with water, so this was a critical hit for me.

▲ Divine Riko

"Just as the weeping willows remain open for a long time, I hope that this relationship will continue for a long time..." What is this smooth way of speaking...?! You're a pro. I enjoyed your talk again this time. Thank you very much.

This week's topic was Kanno-san. I can empathize with Kanno-san, or rather, I sometimes feel that she has worries that are nothing. Because I work at a nursery school, I feel the difficulty and importance of "trying to understand the other person even if there is nothing" every day... Every day is a battle, and sometimes it is necessary to treat the other person with cold honesty, but you must not forget to be empathetic... I felt that Kanno Kannon-sama Marianna Riko is the image I want to aim for. Thinking is really important, isn't it?
And Monet. She had always had to accept things that were thrown at her, but I'm glad that she was finally able to throw her feelings and have them received. I was so happy to see Monet so open-minded (her bouncing legs were so cute!). I want to embrace everyone at the forestry association in joy! If I could receive this souvenir from the underworld, I'd be able to go to paradise. Overall, it was a wonderful, heart-warming week. (Moto)

Moto-san works at a nursery school. I can't help but admire all the nursery teachers who do such a tough job with a smile every day! I think Riko's worries are something that anyone who wants to do a better job can sympathize with, regardless of their occupation. I also learned the importance of continuing to think and imagine, even if you don't understand.

Also, the famous scene where Monet, who had been thrown around so much, finally caught it was great.Monet's Diary" was a point I wanted to touch on but didn't. The pose is a bit like something from a Showa era girls' manga, which I thought was nice. Oh, I'm so glad! I'm sure everyone who witnessed it was given a gift from the underworld. I'll check it out when I become A Thousand Winds.

Takamura-senpai is so cool. A female senior once told me, "Believe that you have the power." I remember those words when I'm feeling down at work. I'm sure Kamino-chan will remember Takamura-senpai's words many times in the future. I hope that one day Kamino-chan will become a cool senior who leads her juniors to even greater heights. (I loved that frustrated expression this week.) Suganami-sensei, you caught the key. Monet-chan was too shy to say "I want to see you!" to the busy teacher. It's so adorable. I really want them to be happy. I'll go to the wedding even if I'm not invited. I'll send the clothes I'm going to wear to the dry cleaners. (Nagoya no Mayuko)

Hahahaha. That was quick!
I see that Mayuko Nagoya also had a wonderful person like Takamura-senpai. A great team is born under a great senior.

▲ The reliable Takamura senior

I like how strong-willed Riko is, so I was really moved when she said, "I'll easily surpass Asaoka-san."

And? Eh? A wedding!! Isn't that a bit premature? Well, I wasn't asked to, but I might make a video to show at the venue! But I don't know. Ryochin, Mitsuo, Yuto, and I might get along well, or I might not get married (personally, I think this might be the direction I'm heading).

This week's episode was "Welcome Back Asaichi". It's been a while since the morning drama was broadcast. Hanamaru is surprised at how quickly things have progressed, saying, "Mr. Suganami, you said it would be good if things went well... but I was shocked to see that you have that side to you." He's like Urashima Taro (only Kamejima can say that (lol)). "Riko-chan, you're being compared to Mr. Asaoka. We're being compared to Mr. Inohara, Mr. Udo, and Mr. Yanagisawa," says Daikichi-sensei, to which Suzuki-san looks as if he's saying that. In the end, he says, "Do you really need numbers, Takamura-san?" and it just so happens that the guest is Saki Takaoka (lol). Ah, even the morning drama reception on Asaichi is a morning drama after all (lol) (Yoshinobu)

Yoshinobu-san! It's been a while since I've been in a morning drama. I was so happy. There have been so many days when I thought, "I'm not going to be in a morning drama today!" There's only a short time left, but I'm looking forward to it.

That concludes the 18th episode!

This week I'm sending you my heartfelt "chestnut rice". Kesennuma rice is delicious! (Actually, I want to send you something to thank you for, but I'm writing this with the intention of sending you something "from my heart"...!)

▲It is also called "Ofukashi."

It's almost rice season, so be sure to come and enjoy some delicious autumn food in Kesennuma!

▲We also recommend a blend of Tome and Kesennuma.

Thank you very much to everyone! Letters are truly wonderful. We look forward to receiving enthusiastic letters from the city, prefecture, and all over the country!
