When it comes to autumn flavors in Kesennuma, it's definitely saury. When the large, silvery saury are landed at the port, the whole town is instantly bathed in the colors of autumn. Fatty grilled saury, as well as sashimi saury, which can only be enjoyed at this time of year, are special delicacies.
