Tsurukame no Yu and Tsurukame Restaurant

Tsurukame no Yu and Tsurukame Shokudo, located in front of Kesennuma Fish Market, is open from 7am, and fishermen come here to take a bath and eat after landing their catch. The local ladies serve seasonal fish delivered directly from the market in a way that is unique to the local area. The summer bonito sashimi is the freshest anywhere, and the set meal you eat alongside the fishermen in the morning is exquisite. The highly popular dishes "swordfish collar stew" and "pickled rice bowl" are also recommended.
