Enjoy plenty of gourmet food and scenery

Kesennuma City in Miyagi Prefecture has the least amount of snowfall in the Tohoku region, making it a comfortable place to visit even in winter.
Kesennuma, facing the Sanriku coast, one of the world's leading fishing grounds, is a port town where fishing boats from all over the world gather. Enjoy delicious seafood from all over the world, as well as local ingredients and local sake!
Various species of fish are landed throughout the year, but the best things to recommend in winter are the plump oysters that grow in the nutrient-packed waters of the Rias Coast, and swordfish, which boasts the highest catch in Japan.

Oysters are great when eaten raw, filling your mouth with delicious flavor, but they are also delicious steamed, allowing you to enjoy their concentrated flavor and chewy texture.
Swordfish is thick but soft, and when eaten raw, it has a moist texture. Swordfish caught in winter is called "winter swordfish" and is highly recommended as it is rich in fat and has a strong flavor. Please give it a try.

From accommodations near the port town, you can walk to the quay and enjoy the view of the port town lined with large fishing boats and the abundant nature.
If you get up early, you can see the bustling fish market and the morning sun rising over the horizon. Enjoy a relaxing winter trip to Kesennuma.

[Winter limited plan release] Winter Mecha Shabu-shabu + Oyster foil-grilled plan

<dinner>

This menu allows you to enjoy a variety of Kesennuma's signature ingredients, including oysters baked in foil, fresh sashimi delivered directly from Kesennuma Port, and braised shark fin, all in one dish, as well as swordfish shabu-shabu and simmered dishes.
In particular, the shabu-shabu made with seasonal swordfish allows you to directly experience the deliciousness of this fatty winter swordfish. Its finely textured and moist texture gives it a light flavor that is different from sashimi. The oysters are steamed and baked in foil to lock in the flavor. Enjoy the aroma of the sea and the plump, tender meat.

<breakfast>

This menu was prepared with the motto of "A delicious breakfast." We offer fluffy rice freshly cooked in a clay pot, and to make the rice even more delicious, we offer a Japanese set meal that includes seafood from Kesennuma as well as carefully selected local side dishes.
