Winter Gourmet Stamp Rally

We will be holding a Winter Gourmet Stamp Rally, which will take you to places and programs where you can experience Kesennuma's food culture and history behind the food!

[Event period] Wednesday, November 2023, 11 to Thursday, February 1, 2024

There are three themes: "Fine Sake and Seasonal Cuisine," where you can taste the pairing of oysters and swordfish dishes with local sake; "Souvenirs," an essential part of any trip; and "Food Culture" of a port town. By touring these three spots, you can experience the richness of Kesennuma's cuisine, which goes beyond just being "delicious."

1. Enjoy fine wine and seasonal food

Twelve restaurants in the city will be offering a limited-time "Fine Sake and Seasonal Food Set." This set allows you to enjoy dishes made with local ingredients together with local sake. Please take your time to enjoy the combination of the carefully selected meals from each restaurant with the sake.

When you order, the dinner mat that comes with it has a QR code for collecting stamps. Don't forget to scan it with the app after you've enjoyed your meal!

② Buy souvenirs

Souvenirs are an essential part of any trip. From seasonal oysters and swordfish products to Japanese sake, there are plenty of recommended souvenirs for the home or as gifts.

There are 14 stores participating in the stamp rally. After you finish shopping, scan the QR code at the store to get a stamp.

3. Experience food culture

Kesennuma has prospered mainly through fishing. The Rias Ark Museum of Art's permanent exhibition introduces the lifestyles of Kesennuma residents in the past.
At the "Fish Market," you can see the beginning of delicious food, from the fishermen unloading their catch to the middlemen bidding. If you get up early in the morning, you might be able to see the fantastic scenery of "Ki-ran," which can only be seen in early winter.

Go to Campaign → Stamp Rally → Winter Gourmet Stamp Rally. Tap "Participate" → Tap "Tap here" to start the stamp rally!
