Karakuwa Peninsula Shop Walking Tour Vol. 4 Magurodate District

In Kesennuma and the Karakuwa Peninsula, the "house names" given to each private home are still used in daily life. We will be holding an event where you can take a leisurely walk with a local guide along a specially designed course themed around these house names.
This is the fourth time we are holding a special event celebrating 350 years since the introduction of Kesennuma bonito fishing. We will walk through the Shibi-tachi area, the birthplace of Kesennuma bonito fishing and bonito culture. We will also visit the Kodate family, an old family that accepted fishing boats from Kishu 350 years ago and spread bonito fishing and the manufacturing method of bonito flakes to the area, have lunch at the popular inn Karakuwa Goten Tsunakan, and receive souvenirs!
Please take advantage of this rare opportunity to visit the Karakuwa Peninsula.
